Inshore Shark Fishing
Our inshore shark fishing charters in Ocean City, Maryland offer one of the most exhilarating opportunities of the season.Fishing within three miles of the beach (often much closer) we target powerful shark species that patrol the coastal waters just outside the inlet. Depending on the season and conditions, anglers may encounter sand tiger sharks, sandbar sharks, dusky sharks, and even the occasional hammerhead. Using heavy tackle and bait, you’ll have the opportunity to battle some of the ocean’s most impressive predators while staying relatively close to shore, making this trip an excellent option for anglers seeking big-game action without a long offshore run.
Target Species
Inshore shark fishing off Ocean City is typically at its best from late spring through mid fall, when warming water temperatures bring a variety of shark species close to the beach. During these months, anglers regularly encounter sand tiger sharks, sandbar sharks, and dusky sharks, with occasional opportunities to hook hammerhead sharks later in the summer. Shark action is often strongest from June through September, when baitfish are abundant along the coast. Because migration patterns and water temperatures vary each year, our captains adjust locations and techniques to maximize your chances of encountering the best available species during your trip.
Where We Fish
Our inshore shark fishing trips take place in the coastal waters just outside Ocean City Inlet, typically within three miles of shore and often much closer. We target productive areas where sharks naturally feed, including nearshore channels, bait-rich waters, and coastal structure along the beaches of Ocean City and Assateague Island.
